Educate
- to enlighten minds and heartsDEAR FRIENDS FROM ALL COMMUNITIES IN MALAYSIA & ELSEWHERE
If you have some reading time, please have a look at Blog: aesibert.blogspot.com which aims, in all fairness, to enlighten minds and hearts of one of the smallest or maybe the smallest Malaysian Minority Community - the ‘SERANI or EURASIAN’, lest it be overwhelmed by majority numbers and become a ‘who are they?’ Community, especially to younger Malaysians.
The Blog will consist of historical and social aspects of the Community which dates back to 1511. The Blog would also like to invite anyone, especially Eurasians, to share their personal stories as well as those of their children, their parents, and their grandparents and contributions to life in Malaysia; which all have no matter how unknown or how small they may be. These real-life stories involving Eurasians will be collected for Malaysians to know more of the Community, ESPECIALLY Eurasian Children.
IN ADDITION, there will be the inclusion of a personal interest in the sharing of Teaching and Learning Methodologies and ‘what is really happening in classrooms’ that young Malaysian parents should be more concerned with these days, and the need to enhance Research Methods Skills as well.
THANK YOU & BEST WISHES TO ALL –

EDUCATE a derivative from...
“EDUCATION, which is built on the word “educe,” which means to draw out, bring out, or elicit. Education is the wise, hopeful and respectful cultivation of learning and change undertaken in the belief that we all should have the chance to share in life.
It is a process of being with others and inviting truth and possibility. It is, as John Dewey (1916) put it, a social process – ‘a process of living and not a preparation for future living’.
In this view educators look to learning and being with others rather than acting upon them. Their task is to educe (related to the Greek notion of educere), to bring out or develop potential both in themselves and others.
Such education is:
§ Deliberate and hopeful. It is learning we set out to make happen in the belief that we all can ‘be more’;
- Informed, respectful and wise. A process of inviting truth and possibility.
- Grounded in a desire that at all may flourish and share in life. It is a cooperative and inclusive activity that looks to help us to live our lives as well as we can”
